Dear iMPACT Students,
It has been almost exactly a year since Steve Osborn left, and I was asked to take over both high school and middle school ministries for a period of time. This has been an absolutely incredible year. I wanted to write you a letter to share with you some things that have been on my mind and heart lately.
I want to thank all of you. Our main goal as an iMPACT staff was to create community this year, and that is exactly what we did. However, we were not alone on this mission, you students did such an amazing job at being welcoming to new students as well as encouraging one another. I had the privilege of watching you all grow both physically and spiritually. God is ready and going to do some incredible things through each one of you in the years to come, and I cannot wait to see what that will be! I also want to thank you for being so flexible and understanding. Stepping into this position of leading both Junior and Senior High Ministries for the last year was not one that I anticipated, but I wouldn’t have changed this past year for anything!
The truth is, both the high school and the middle school ministries at Immanuel each need their own leader to be most effective It was never our goal to have only one person in charge of both ministries for an extended period of time. With that in mind, I will be resuming my role as Immanuel’s Middle School Pastor later this month. This is a role I am excited and passionate about! Along with that, I am equally excited to announce to you that Holden Maschari has recently accepted the position as our new High School Pastor. All of this will begin on August 14.
Holden is, without a doubt, the perfect person for the job. He has been a part of the iMPACT staff, and some of your lives for over two years now, and he has an incredible passion to see each one of you grow deeper in your relationship with Jesus! Here is what he wanted to say to all of you as you receive this letter:
If you had one year to change your school, what would you do? If you had just one year to change the lives of your friends, how would you spend it? This is that year at iMPACT and we’re going to do it BIG. You belong here, and so do your friends. I’m beyond excited to walk alongside you as we grow deeper with Jesus, find community with each other, and change the world. See you soon!
You guys were so incredible this year as I stepped into the role of leading both ministries, and I want to encourage you guys. This is the year. This is the year, just like Holden said, that God can do some amazing things in you and through you! I can’t wait to hear all about the amazing things that are going to happen in iMPACT this year. I love each and every one of you, and please, lets keep in touch!
