Our Immanuel Church Kids (icKids) Staff, can't wait to partner with your family to lay a solid spiritual foundation for your children. We are eager to work with your family to give your children a Biblical worldview so they will be able to stand firm for Jesus. We recognize safety, quality Biblical education and kid-sized fun are critical to making your child's visit at Immanuel not only memorable, but life changing.
Our program includes exciting pre-game activities, engaging worship, hands on learning stations and solid Biblical teaching. At Immanuel we believe in total time teaching, so the fun and learning begins the moment you walk through our doors! Children in kindergarten and older are encouraged to bring an NIV Bible each Sunday.
Check out the video below of Discovery Land, our icKids environment, and visit us on Sunday at 9 or 11 AM!
Visitors are always welcome! We understand navigating a place for the first time can be confusing which is why we take your experience from street to seat seriously. We stocked our environments with friendly volunteers to help you along your way. When you arrive, look for the area designated for first-time guests. We will meet your family, check your child into our database system, and one of our volunteers will lead your child to their age-appropriate room.
Registration takes place when you arrive. Stop at the First Time Visitors Desk to begin your child's first day in icKids. Parents may check in children as early as 20 minutes before each service: 8:40 and 10:40.
We will ask for the following personal information: family members' names, children’s names and birthdates, address, phone number, and any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your child. Your family will be assigned a number so you can be identified if we need to contact you during service.
In our Birth-5 years ministry your child will begin the exciting journey of discovering eternal treasures that are found in God’s Word, the Bible. Children are never too young to learn. We have the privilege to partner with you to help your child experience Bringing the Bible to Life. Each Sunday, your child will participate in hands-on learning, fun worship songs, finger plays, Bible lessons, and more, to help create a very interactive and teachable time.
Students begin their time in a large group for review and worship. Following worship, students are divided into small group for class time, a Bible lesson, and interactive learning. Students are encouraged to build a solid Biblical worldview, and to apply their faith to their lives. Casual attire and comfortable shoes are recommended. Children in Kindergarten and older are encouraged to bring an NIV Bible.
Do you know icKids offers special needs accommodations for children from birth through fifth grade every Sunday during the 11 AM service? We know one size doesn’t fit all when it comes to a child’s needs, but we do know every child belongs here! That’s why we do our best to provide customized experiences for every child. From simple accommodations like weighted blankets or headphones to more customized adaptations such as 1:1 buddies or our sensory friendly classroom, we are excited to help. Please let us know how we can make Sundays successful for your entire family!

The Bible is the most amazing book ever written! We strive to bring its stories to life through activities and discussions that keep children engaged. We want all children to love God’s word and understand the value of applying it to their lives. That's why we have created mid-week environments to give kids the opportunity to connect during the week.
This midweek environment helps students dig deeper into the Bible as they meet in small groups to discuss life application and pray, play (sometimes messy) games and build lasting relationships to help them grow in their relationships with Jesus. Kids should bring their Bibles, positive attitudes and a couple of 4th- or 5th-grade friends!
Ignite meets on Wednesdays from 7 until 8:30 PM.
October 2-November 13, 2019 and January 8-March 18, 2020.
No registration required.
For more information contact Zach Smole.
If Sundays and our mid-week activities weren't enough, we also have special events throughout the year. We want to give your kids the opportunity to connect and deepen their understanding of Jesus through all seasons.
icSports is a vital component of Immanuel Church’s outreach to families in Lake County, with programs for students in first grade through college. This ministry provides opportunities for every player to develop skills while learning good sportsmanship in a fun and safe environment. Participants are introduced to the Gospel and encouraged by adults who serve as role models as well as coaches. Programs include basketball, volleyball, soccer and summer sports camps.

This is our prayer for every child who enters our building:
My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding - indeed, if you call it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God. For the LORD gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding. He holds success in store for the upright, He is a shield to those whose walk is blameless, for He guards the course of the just and protects the way of His faithful ones. Then you will understand what is right and just and fair - every good path. For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul. Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you.
Why do we take Children's Ministry so serious?
- Studies have shown that the majority of those who follow Jesus choose to do so between the ages of four and 14, often called the 4/14 window. God clearly works in and through the childhood years.
- In 2 Timothy 3:15, God's Word teaches us that learning Scripture at an early age has an impact: "And how from infancy you have made known the Holy Scriptures that will make you wise for salvation."
- Satan is always on the prowl, looking to turn kids away from God and turn their hearts cold. When we share truth, we push back the darkness (1 Peter 5:8).
- If we neglect teaching our children, the next generation will have stubborn hearts towards God and truth. Nations fall from within when they don't know God (Psalm 78:8).
