As different parts of the country seek to “reopen,” we’re faced with the reality that what we are reopening to is not what we left behind just a couple of months ago. In facing the new realities before us, we are confronted not just with change, but loss….of work, income, security, routines, physical proximity to others, and maybe even the loss of a loved one. To process these losses well, we need to grieve well. No one likes to grieve, but it’s a process we need to learn to embrace so that we can appropriately move forward in a healthy way.
