SAYING YES TO JESUS.

WHAT DOES Saying "YEs" to Jesus MEAN?

2 Corinthians 5:17 - Anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun.

The decision to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior is the most important decision you will ever make. It means that God has forgiven you, has made you his child, and has come into your heart and life - you are a new person in him!

God said he would do this for you and he never breaks his word. Look at these two promises that God gives us.

1 |  When we say “yes” to Jesus, the Bible says that God gives us eternal life in his Son, Jesus Christ.

1 John 5:11 - And this is what God has testified; He has given us eternal life and this life is in His Son.

2 | We are friends with God and have a wonderful new relationship with him all because of his grace and what Jesus Christ has done for us.

Romans 5:11 - So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God.

Ephesians 2:8-9 - God saved you by his grace when you believed And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.

DO YOU HAVE QUESTIONS?
If you have questions or want to talk with someone directly, we are here for you! Like we said, this is the most important decision you will ever make, so we want to help you have a firm understanding of what it means to say "yes" to Jesus. Get in touch with us HERE.

MAKING THE DECISION.

Romans 10:9-10 - If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.

Saying “yes” to Jesus and openly declaring him as Your Lord and Savior can be done through a simple prayer like this one. “Dear God, I admit I am a sinner and I need a Savior. I believe your perfect Son, Jesus, died on the cross to take the punishment for my sins. Please forgive me of my sins and be the Lord of my life.”

If you prayed a prayer today to say “yes” to Jesus Christ, then congratulations! You have a new relationship with God, and a new future All of Heaven is rejoicing - and we are too! Welcome to God’s family.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

John 15:8 - When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to the Father.

Deciding to follow Christ is more than just trying to live a better life. You need to make your faith personal. If your heart - or spirit - is changed, your outward actions and ambitions will follow. Here are a few things you can do to get started in the right direction.

1 | Celebrate your new life in Christ by participating in a believer’s baptism, as Jesus commands.

Mark 16:16 - Believe and be baptized.

2 | Worship, spend time with other Christ-followers and serve in a Church where Christ is preached.

Hebrews 10:25 - And let us not neglect our meeting together as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the say of his return is drawing near.

3 | Share Christ with others and tell them about the difference he’s making in your life. Demonstrate your new life by showing your love and concern for others.

Matthew 4:19 - Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people.”

4 | Read your Bible to know Christ’s heart better, and connect with God through prayer.
