STARTING POINT

A CONVERSATION ABOUT FAITH

LIFE STAGE: ADULTS, 18+

Starting Point is an eight-session small group conversation about faith. Whether you’re curious about God, coming back to church after some time away, or new to following Jesus, it’s a place where your opinions and beliefs are valued, and no question is off limits. At Starting Point you'll have the chance to explore the most important questions of the Christian faith and meet some new people along the way. During your time together, you’ll discuss the short weekly reading from your discussion guides and from the online video you watched during the week.

FASTING

SUNDAYS | 8:45 AM-10:15 AM | DATE: OCTOBER 8 | 4 WEEK CLASS

LOCATION: ON CAMPUS

LIFE STAGE: ADULTS, 18+

Fasting can be a difficult and maybe even confusing spiritual practice for many, and yet, it is also so incredibly rich and rewarding. If you’ve ever wanted to explore what fasting looks like, how it helps us grow in holiness, self-control, and spiritual dependence upon God, and how you can make it a part of your walk with Jesus, we invite you to join this class!

SPIRITUAL GIFTS

Every believer has been given at least one spiritual gift from God the moment they trusted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. These gifts have been to build up the body of believers. HOW TO READ THE BIBLE

If you learn best alongside others then consider joining our 3-week class on “How to Read the Bible”, where we’ll spend three sessions learning about a tried and true method of reading the Bible through observation, interpretation, and application.

Reaching our neighbors, family and friends can be really hard and sometimes just plain awkward but it doesn't have to be! Learn how to effectively share your faith and the Gospel to those close to you with this engaging and informative 5 week class.

SABBATH

As followers of Jesus today, what does it look like for us to “observe the sabbath?” During this 4-week course, participants will learn how to order their week around the idea of sabbath as a God-given invitation to 1) Stop 2) Rest 3) Delight and 4) Worship.

Spiritual Disciplines invite us to explore tools that we can access to become more like Jesus. Depending upon areas of our personal struggles, we can choose disciplines to help shape us into His image. Key disciplines in this practical and interactive two-week course include prayer, scripture reading, solitude, sabbath, simplicity, secrecy, hospitality, and fasting.




CHRISTIAN SEXUALITY

LIFE STAGE: ADULTS, 18+

This video-based series is a powerful catalyst for healthy and meaningful conversations about sex, sexuality and gender. It guides participants in the most pressing questions facing the church today, with subjects surrounding sex and marriage, LGBTQ+ issues, pornography, dating and friendships, and transgender identities.
