COVID-19 WAYS TO HELP

WE ARE FOR LAKE COUNTY

There are various ways to help our community in the midst of COVID-19. Please see below for a list of available opportunities.

  • PADS LAKE COUNTY - DONATE OR VOLUNTEER

    • All rotating shelter sites and the Warren Township 24/7 emergency shelter have been discontinued and all clients have been moved into hotels.

    • In order to keep our clients, staff, volunteers & community as safe and healthy as possible, all clients have been moved out of the shelter system and into individual accommodations. PADS is providing hotel stays to all clients.

    • Please consider making a gift online to support our efforts. Due to the growing number of unexpected expenses, your donation will make an immediate impact.

      DONATION NEEDS:

    • Volunteer. You  may view any openings on our calendar, and if spots are not available our agency network needs support as well. If you are interested in volunteering at a pantry in your community you may search by zip code and contact the location directly to inquire about opportunities.

  • IMMANUEL'S LIFECARE FUND

Immanuel's benevolence fund, LifeCARE, provides financial assistance to our church family members in case of a one-time need. During this time of social isolation, we are not meeting together, and thus not asking for our usual monthly over-and-above offering to support this fund. We know there will be ways that we can come alongside our friends who are struggling to make ends meet due to lost income. These funds go toward basic needs, medical expenses, counseling, etc.

You can give to our LifeCare fund by choosing the drop down option in online giving or by mailing a check marked "LifeCARE" to:
    Immanuel Church

    2300 N Dilleys Rd

    Gurnee, IL 60031

  • SEW MASKS FOR MEDICAL WORKERS

The Cancer Treatment Centers of America (Zion, IL) are asking those with sewing machines and ability to make fabric masks for their medical professionals. You can find directions and a template HERE.

    Masks can be delivered to:

    Receiving Department

    Attn: Handmade Mask Donation Administrator

Comprehensive Care and Research Center, Chicago
